That's why Pure Enchantment's packaging
reminds anyone who indulges in the blissed-out natural
lotions, soaps and balms that products are "Handcrafted
in Rocky River, Ohio." Debbie Brink, who started the
home based business with her husband three years ago,
says a supportive community confirmed what they already
knew about their products: They were something different
too.
"We started by selling the products at
the Rocky River High School cheerleader craft show, and
it took off," Brink says.
So Brink began to market the product to
area spas, including Renuvo Salon on Detroit Road.
"I do this from my basement," Brink
says, shoring in her line's national distribution to its
roots. Local buyers who call her looking for the
products are pleasantly surprised that they won't have
to drive far to find them. "They are excited when they
find out it's here in Rocky River, and that makes it
even better." |

Pure Enchantment offers natural skin
care products Debbie Brink grew up in a family of entrepreneurs, so
naturally, she thought of owning her own business.
That dream started to take shape on a 2001 family
vacation to Wilmington, North Carolina. Debbie bought a
bar of natural soap.
“I couldn’t believe how soft it made my skin feel,”
Debbie said. She then began reading, taking classes and experimented
with making soaps and lotions in her Rocky River home.
Though she still had a full-time job, her husband Bill
and their blended family of five children gave her the
support she needed to launch the Pure Enchantment line
of natural soaps and lotions in 2003. The solid lotion bars, for both hands and body, are made
using shea butter. They soften dry and cracked skin, and
feature a light, natural fragrances. They are packaged
in portable metal tins.
Pure Enchantment also offers an unscented olive oil
castile soap for sensitive skin, a goat’s milk oatmeal
soap that gently exfoliates, a revitalizing rosemary
mint foot balm, and natural lip balms in flavors such as
lemonade. The company’s products are garnering raves. Dr. Helen Torok, a dermatologist and owner of the
Trillium Creek holistic medical center in Medina, is a
huge fan.
“Your products are ideal for my patients with dry,
sensitive skin; eczema, and psoriasis,” she wrote to the
Brinks. Visit www.pureenchantment.com for retail locations and
