Summer vacation may be coming to an end, but it's never out of season to learn about the beautiful body of water right in our backyard.
The Rocky River Historical Society will be hosting an informative speaker series, "A beginner’s guide to historic shipwrecks of Lake Erie" on Thursday, September 8 from 7- 9pm at the Rocky River Senior Center.
Presented by Kevin Magee, he will explore the schooners and steamers that have plied these waters for two hundred years. They are time capsules of life in the 1800's and 1900's, and these remnants of tragedy number in the thousands.
