Salmon Dave's, a Candy Shop and Ice Cream Parlor?

In our quest to learn the history behind these wonderful historic buildings in the Old River Shopping Area, we were delighted to discover that Salmon Dave's was once a candy store! 

Founded by the Sougianis brothers in 1926, Salmon Dave's now sits at what used to boast the sweetest treats in Rocky River.

The store was the site of the first mechanical soda fountain in Cuyahoga County - customers could indulge on sodas featuring syrups and chocolates crafted from Greek recipes.
